A large part of these people live in rural areas, were the costs for a connection to the main grid are significantly higher compared to the costs of a local mini grid. For most applications the best economical and reliable solution is a combination of renewable energy resources with diesel generators. EXENDIS is specialised in modular inverter solutions to 1 MW and offers with the MHI an off-grid power solution with very unique features like redundancy, modular power expandability and smart grid functions. Fuel Cell energy

A fuel cell product transforms hydrogen into electricity. Many investigations have been done to make the fuel cell ready for mass production.  A fuel cell generates electricity at a low voltage. Therefore you need inverters to transform this voltage into a reliable voltage. EXENDIS is involved in the development of projects and applications on basis of fuel cell technology and the supply of inverters.

Dutch companies have developed a mobile generator that produces electricity using a fuel cell, fed with bio-ethanol. The client Rijkswaterstaat wants to use these kind of low-noise fuel cell generators at construction zones at night.

Energy Storage Inverter

With an Energy Storage Inverter (ESI) and a battery, the ESI can supply electrical energy, or on the other hand, store this energy, so that this energy can be used more efficiently. Considering the high number of applications that can use this technology, ALSO the environment will take advantage of it.
